St Barth: Launching a New Paradigm for Executive Education
We are very proud to launch the St Barth Business School® – a Luxury Education® initiative designed for discerning travelers and lovers of exquisite luxury. St Barth Business School is yet another reason to visit the unique Caribbean island destination, St Barth.
What you need to know …
There are a few things you should know about our business school. I believe we are the first of our kind to mix accredited qualifications with this level of delivery flexibility whilst still being instructor lead. Our programmes range from Postgraduate Diplomas, which are readily convertible to MBA or MSc degrees from any number of our partner Universities, to less involved CPE (Continuing Professional Education) and CPD (Continuing Professional Development) credit awarding seminars.
A little about St Barth …
St Barthelemy in the French West Indies is an intriguing resort island destination that has made a conscious and strategic decision to not focus on mega-resorts, mega-cruises, and mass tourism. This island focuses on high-end luxury tourism as opposed to mass-market volume tourism. The island is defined by its luxury boutique hotels and villas which form the bulk of the island’s “room” inventory.
Consequently, in order to successfully deliver a comprehensive range of higher education programmes, we had to think about what the customer seeking the St Barth experience would be looking for.

1. Flexibility
Our business school allows you to choose the courses, timing, venue, and schedule with instructor guidance. We work with you to arrange a schedule that suits your time in St Barth. Alternatively, you can join one of our many scheduled courses and meet other individuals from around the world who share common interests and experiences as well as shared love of St Barth and education.
2. Exclusivity
St Barth is a tropical paradise in the Eastern Caribbean. The combination of its status as a secluded hide-away for ultra-high net-worth individuals, stars, athletes, in addition to its unparalleled safety and security has made it the most exclusive destination in the Caribbean, and arguably the world.
We contribute to this exclusivity offering by tailoring a broad range of courses and programmes to your schedule during your time on St Barth.
3. Privacy
St Barth Business School has the capacity to deliver entire diploma and degree programmes to the Masters degree level privately. From Public Speaking to Social Media, Information Technology, Finance for Non-Financial Managers, Financial Risk Management, Entrepreneurship, to English and more, these courses can be structured and delivered privately on a schedule and at a venue of your choosing.
This is an excellent alternative to traditionally scheduled programmes and a discrete way of augmenting a resume or gaining extra credit with an internationally accredited and recognized academic qualification.
If you are going to be away from St Barth and would like your tutor to come to you to assist in completing your programme, that too can be arranged.
4. Activity
St Barth Business School does not believe in “chalk and talk”. Our teaching model focuses on something we call the KAST Development Model (more on that here). This model comprises a holistic approach to teaching and training which focuses on the individual’s entire academic being – Knowledge, Attitudes, Skills, and Tendencies. These four attributes are addressed in every course in an interactive way.
Dynamic and Engaging Itineraries
We make use of St Barth’s gorgeous natural environment and capitalize on the beaches, ocean, boating, hotels, restaurants, and activities native to the island to create dynamic, engaging learning sessions which reinforce the learning outcomes of each course.

Scheduled Programmes
For 2013-2014 we have scheduled a number of five day courses in covering the following topics:
- International Customer Service Strategy
- Social Media Marketing and Marketing Communications
- Personal Training and Business Skills
- MBA in Hospitality and Tourism (this is a four module programme comprised of 3 core courses and you must choose 1 of 2 electives so you get to enjoy a total of 4 weeks in St Barth over the course of the year)
